keyword density is the ratio of the word that is being searched for against the total number of words appearing on your web page. If your keyword occurs only (say) once in a page of one thousand words, it has a lower keyword density than a keyword that occurs (say) four times in a page of similar length. 3 to 5 % keyword density is good for your page. and some sites provide the service of keyword density checking you try this keyworddensity.com

Keyword density is very useful in SEO point of view, ita depend the no of total words ina web page and a particular keyword comes in a page.

Keyword density is very important to any page. Good K.D. is 3 to 5% for any page.
Keyword density= 10 times come a keyword in the page/500 wolrds ina page =.05\
Keyword density=.05*100=5

Keyword density is measured with the help of this formula
Keyword density= (A keyword comes how many times in a web-page/Total word in a web page)*100
Keyword density= (20/500)*100 =4%
Keyword density= (A keyword comes how many times in a web-page/Total word in a web page)*100

Interesting to note that, in some places, a 3-5% keyword density would be considered quite high. In the popular article directory EzineArticles, for example, you should only have a 1-2% keyword density. LSI (latent semantic indexing) is becoming a better way to get noticed by search engines. Plus, it makes more natural sense.
